We, as human beings, are hardwired to continuously transform and heal. The power we hold to unlearn patterns, is our ability to change. Therapy is a powerful tool to guide us through our journey of self awareness that can truly change our lives.About meI am an integrative Counsellor, with over 17 years’ experience of working with adults and young people, aged 12 +. I am a registered member of BACP and BACP CYPF (Children, Young People & Families); qualified (BSc Hons) and experienced in a range of therapeutic interventions including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT and Schema. Currently I offer face to face and online (Teams/Skype) therapy sessions.
I have worked in community social care and a range of counselling settings including schools, NHS mental health facilities, bereavement services, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres as well as my private practice. I have experience of supporting adults and young people, with a range of life’s challenges.
My Approach Many different life challenges and difficulties can lead to counselling, such as anxiety, bereavement, relationships or past traumas. Sometimes it can be a feeling that something is not ‘quite right', a feeling of being trapped or stuck. Talking to an empathetic therapist can support and guide you through your difficulties.
My integrative framework can offer a bespoke client focussed approach using Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT models, as well as Solution Focus Theory, Gestalt Theory, Mindfulness and meditation
Together we can build a trusting relationship within a safe, non-judgemental environment, to talk and explore emotions and issues that are causing distress.
